Canal Bridges of Noise project underway

Last night, the Union of Canal Bridges of Noise Makers convened under Bridge 225H on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal just outside Leeds Railway Station. Sheltered from the rain and using the acoustic space and ambient pigeon drone and overhead train sounds, 40 minutes of audio and video was captured.

Canal Bridges of Noise (1)

Hello. 

There will be a free performance of experimental music under Bridge 225H (the really big one just outside Leeds railway station) on Thursday 19th May 2016, starting at 1945. 

All people are welcome to attend and perform and record as they see fit. Bring noise making devices of a non-mains variety and come and contribute to the composition. We will use the ambient background sound and the acoustic properties of the bridge as a fundamental part of the composition process and composed piece of music.
