Hogwash 28 - pictures from Wednesday night......

Thanks to all the good folks who performed at and supported Hogwash 28 on Wednesday night last at Wharf Chambers in Leeds. The usual noise crowd of around 20 turned up and enjoyed The Truth About Frank, ...(something) Ruined, Black Alert and Un Sacapuntas. Video and audio clips will become available soon, but for now, here are some images -

Drifting......

The Drifting event held at ChapelFM was an interesting evening covering all aspects of ambient, drone, bits of noise and other experimental endeavours in music. Curated by the always enthusiastic John Toolan, 6 artists were given 30 minutes each to explore what ambient and drone means to them. Jimmie Andrex, Namke Communications, Fibonacci Drone Organ, GRST, Toby Wiltshire and Orlando Ferguson gave their sonic interpretations to a hypnotised audience. Thanks to all who attended and listened (you can re-listen on the ChapelFM website at the link in the first line of this post) and as always great sound from Elliott and lovely tea and cakes from the ladies in reception :-). Some photos lie below.......

Sunday Afternoon Acoustics - coming soon on Sunday 9th Feb!

Here is a nice image, it's the image for Sunday Afternoon Acoustics - an event that collectivises spoken word and acoustic troubadour activity in the Leeds area. It takes place at the very fine space called Northern Guitars and there is a cracking line-up of artists. It costs nowt to get in, and coins and/or notes in the hat/mug/receptacle being passed round are always appreciated. If you do Facebook, there is an event here where you can find out more stuff. Starts 1500 sharp. Don't miss the first act!
