Turné dagbok april/ mai 2024 - till slut

Part 4 of the tour was playing at the mighty fine event called Part-time Punks in Leeds at Wharf Chambers. The event is curated by Jay and Erin from the band Nervous Twitch and features well-known and not-so-well-known acts of punky nature from up and down the UK and this year will international flavours from debut-giggers Loaf of Beard, with just Chisel this time as Rabies Beefburger cannot attend.

I stupidly fail to document any of the day as I am overwhelmed by the number of folk I've not seen for ages and so despite seeing all the other acts, I miss taking any photos. Summing up, it was bloody good and Loaf of Beard get a rousing welcome and the audience take a great part in the proceedings as they shout "Vovve vovve!" and "motherfucker" at the correct places.

Some nice folk took pictures, thanks to Erin and Paul Whitaker for the lens work.

Before I leave the UK, I got the chance to do some recording with Jakub Rosita (@cmykscum) who is a multi-disciplinary artist from Poland and is very active in Luton. I went to his studio to do some video and audio recording in collaboration with him and another artist whose name I have forgotten (sorry to her). The ends with an offer to come and drone in Luton in the autumn. I accept!

A week later, I am in very western Brittany visiting my good friends Steve and Aniko in their place on the Cote d'Amor/Penn ar Bed border. Steve has made a very fine live room and studio from what was a wreck of a barn and Legion of Swine will be doing a live streamed concert (and Q and A session afterwards) on the internet so that swine brethren from across the world can enjoy the mangling of a roasting tin via audio captured using the Mid-side method of recording. The gig is fun, about 35 people attend (many more than in real life) and it all works fine. Many thanks to Steve from Soundfackery Productions for the tech wizardry.

The tour is over. There will be another in July......

LoS
